Shadecloth will take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). Payment Options Accepted
Payment may be made via Visa, Master Card, Diners or American Express, Mobicred credit cards or by bank transfer or direct deposit into the Shadecloth bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.
Credit Card Acquiring and Security
Credit card transactions will be acquired for Shadeclothby Payfast who are the approved payment gateway for Shadecloth. All credit card transactions are 128 bit Secure Socket Layers – SSL – encrypted. The company registration documents and the sites registered domain name are checked and verified by Thawte, ensuring the cardholder and merchant that nobody can impersonate Payfast to obtain confidential information.
Payfast is committed to providing secure online services. All encryption complies with international standards. Encryption is used to protect the transmission of personal information when completing online transactions. Payfast Internet servers are protected by firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
Shadecloth does not have access to credit card details.
Payfast continually reviews and enhances its security in line with technological changes.
Customer Details Separate from Card Details
Customer details will be stored by Shadecloth separately from card details which are entered by the client on Shadecloth secure site.
Merchant Outlet Country and Transaction Currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is ZAR (South African Rand).
Responsibility
Shadecloth takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer services and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
Country of Domicile
This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Shadecloth chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, 349 Roan Crescent, Corporate Park North, Midrand, 1684, South Africa.
Variation
Shadecloth may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
